North-West College (NWC) to Open Long Beach Campus Extension

New Facility Enables College to Train Additional Students for In Demand Health Care Careers

LONG BEACH, Calif.—As part of its ongoing commitment to providing quality career training programs, North-West College plans to open an offsite extension of its Long Beach Campus by December 1 of this year. With its main Long Beach facility remaining at 3799 East Burnett Street, the new extension will be located in the Arts Building on 3rd Street in the City of Long Beach. The addition will provide NWC the flexibility of expanded classroom space as it aims to continue to educate students for success.

“We are excited to be able to offer this Long Beach Campus extension, which is really a destination campus in the heart of a thriving cultural district,” explained Chief Operating Officer Beylor Meza. “North-West College has been experiencing Quality Growth at our current Long Beach Campus, so this annex makes it possible for us to continue to play our role in addressing the growing demand for well-trained health care professionals.”

The new facility will house Medical Assistant students and Medical Insurance Biller and Coder students, along with one of the College’s prerequisite courses, freeing up space at the current Long Beach main campus for more individuals interested in the Vocational Nurse and Surgical Technologist programs. All of NWC’s programs take a practical approach, pairing in-class instruction with hands-on learning opportunities. A hallmark of North-West College, this blend allows students to not only cement their learning, but to graduate ready to hit the ground running in the World of Work.

“At the heart of our Quality Growth at North-West College is a desire to see more students’ lives changed by the power of quality career education,” Meza shared. “We know that making our programs accessible to a greater number of individuals translates to more health care professionals equipped to meet the need for quality patient care across the country—and ultimately more communities transformed as these graduates make a difference in the lives of the patients they serve.”
