California Board of Registered Nursing Approves Feasibility Study for Future RN Program at Glendale Career College

Milestone Moves Glendale Career College (GCC) Closer to Meeting the Growing Demand for Nurses in the Health Care Field

GLENDALE, Calif.— Following rigorous review, the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) accepted the feasibility study for Glendale Career College’s Registered Nursing Program in June 2014. This validation propels the College into the final stages of the program approval process and brings GCC closer to its goal of addressing the increasing shortage of nurses in California.

“This feasibility study is a comprehensive program proposal,” explained Serjik Kesachekian, Chief Strategy Officer for Success Education Colleges. “In it, we outlined the details of how we would provide a Registered Nursing Program to students and what it would entail. We are thrilled to have received this approval—and to have cleared a huge hurdle in being able to eventually add this career path to our list of programs.”

Before earning final approval from the BRN, the College must complete a self-study, a process that is projected to take several months. Glendale Career College has already received extensive support for the future program from dozens of clinical partners who will host RN students during the Clinical portion of their studies.

“It’s very exciting to be involved with an organization that is in the process of offering this wonderful program,” Kesachekian said. “Not only will the RN Program benefit future students and educate them for success, but it will also make a positive difference in the communities they serve.”
