Glendale Career College Donates Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Adventist Health Glendale to Aid in the Fight Against COVID-19

Donation Underscores College’s Commitment to Supporting Health Care Professionals on the Front Lines of the Pandemic

GLENDALE, Calif.—Glendale Career College (GCC) recently reached out to health care professionals at Adventist Health Glendale to donate hundreds of much-needed masks and gloves designated for doctors and nurses caring for coronavirus (COVID-19) patients. The personal protective equipment (PPE) will be distributed as needed among the staff at Adventist Health Glendale’s Health’s medical center.

“We recognize the PPE shortages our local hospitals and health care facilities are facing as they navigate this crisis,” explained GCC President Mitchell Fuerst. “We are grateful to be able to offer our support to these heroes and do our part to help them limit their exposure to the coronavirus.

In addition to 500 gloves and surgical masks, 800 procedural masks, and 1,000 ear loop masks, Glendale Career College also donated more than 900 N95 masks. Currently in short supply, N95s are rated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as highly effective in protecting individuals against COVID-19, along with other viral strains.

“Proper facial protection is crucial to keeping our doctors and nurses safe,” Fuerst shared. “Our goal is to continue to look for ways to come alongside our health care professionals as they work tirelessly to support and heal our communities in these unprecedented times.”
