North-West College Now Enrolling for New Online Medical Billing and Coding Program

Flexible Program Format Highlights North-West College’s Commitment to Making Quality Education Accessible for Students

WEST COVINA, Calif.—The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) recently approved a new Online Medical Billing and Coding Program at North-West College. This latest offering features the same relevant curriculum as the traditional on-campus program, while allowing students to learn on their own schedule—anywhere they can connect to the Internet.

“For many students, the increased cost of traveling to a campus location or finding child care creates barriers to furthering their education,” Chief Operating Officer Beylor Meza said. “Blending technology with quality instruction allows us to remove those barriers—making education not only affordable, but even more accessible.”

The online program will still include an internship segment, enabling students to apply their skills in real-world settings such as medical offices, clinics, and hospitals. A hallmark of North-West College programs, this clinical portion cements learning through invaluable hands-on experience.

The Online Medical Billing and Coding Program is the first of the College’s distance education offerings and marks the start of what North-West College hopes will be a variety of online learning programs.

“Online education lends itself to convenient schedules and lower overall costs to the student, which makes it a perfect fit for North-West College, as we continue to expand our offerings,” Meza said. “It also allows us to continue to meet our everyday mission of training students in short-term programs for gainful employment.”

New classes for the Online Medical Billing and Coding Program are forming now. To learn more about the program or to enroll, visit Medical Billing & Coding, or contact Michelle MacIntyre at [email protected].
