Glendale Career College Receives Five-Year ABHES Reaccreditation
Grant Underscores College’s Commitment to Providing Quality Education
GLENDALE, Calif.—Following rigorous review, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) recently awarded Glendale Career College (GCC) with a five-year reaccreditation—the longest grant possible. The recognition marked the close of a year-long process, which included an extensive self-study and culminated in a two-day campus visit from ABHES evaluators.
“This reaccreditation validates Glendale Career College’s commitment to always remain totally compliant with our regulators, which is one of our Core Values,” explained Chief Operating Officer Beylor Meza. “It’s also a testament to the dedication of every GCC Team Member as we work together to create effective learning environments that meet the high standards set forth by national accrediting agencies like ABHES.”
A leader in health education for 40 years, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools has been nationally recognized as an independent accrediting agency since 1969. With the goal of “enhanc[ing] the quality of education and training and promot[ing] institutional and programmatic accountability through systematic and consistent program evaluation,” ABHES has helped to raise the standard for quality health programs across the U.S.
“For students, this ABHES accreditation means they can be confident they will be equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed here at GCC,” Meza shared. “With our excellent classroom instruction and hands-on training opportunities, they’ll graduate ready to hit the ground running in the World of Work.”
