North-West College (NWC) Plans to Honor More Than 400 Graduates at Its Spring Commencement Ceremony

ACCSC Executive Director Dr. Michale McComis to Deliver Keynote Address

WEST COVINA, Calif.—For 410 graduates, Sunday, April 7 will serve as the culmination of many months of rigorous study and training as they cross the stage at North-West College’s (NWC) Spring Commencement Ceremony. To be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, the event will bring together family members, friends and Team Members—all eager to celebrate this significant moment for these graduates. Attendees will also have the honor of hearing from Keynote Speaker Dr. Michale McComis, Executive Director of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), as he recognizes the accomplishments these individuals have made in their educational journey.

“I am especially looking forward to this Commencement with Dr. Michale McComis giving the keynote address,” shared NWC President Mitchell Fuerst. “ACCSC is one of our institutional accreditors and we are deeply grateful to have Dr. McComis, who’s flying across the country to speak to and shake the hands of more than 400 new health care professionals!”

In his role as the Executive Director of ACCSC, Dr. McComis has spent the last 25 years working to help make schools and opportunities for students better through the accreditation process. His efforts are focused on identifying educational best practices, developing leadership in schools, and driving institutional improvement, student achievement, and student-centered approaches to teaching and learning.

“We are excited to gather for Commencement—to mark this milestone moment for our graduates and all of those who have cheered them on every step of the way,” Fuerst explained. “There is nothing better than watching our graduates walk across the stage, knowing that each cap and gown represents a life changed by the quality career training we provide here at North-West College.”

Friends and family members unable to attend Commencement will be able to watch the full ceremony live on April 7th on the North-West College Facebook page at facebook.com/northwestcollege/.
