North-West College (NWC) Plans to Honor More than 500 Graduates at Record-breaking Fall Commencement Ceremony
Event Highlights College’s Continued Commitment to Educational Excellence
PASADENA, Calif.—On Sunday, November 3, 582 students will reach the culmination of many months of rigorous study and training as they cross the stage during the College’s Fall Commencement Ceremony, to be recognized as North-West College (NWC) and Glendale Career College (GCC) graduates. Family members, friends, and Team Members will gather for the event at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium—all eager to celebrate these individuals’ remarkable educational achievements.
“I am especially looking forward to this Commencement as we will graduate our largest class of students ever since our College’s founding more than 53 years ago!” shared President Mitchell Fuerst. “These students have overcome tremendous obstacles to reach this milestone and we cannot wait to honor them and all of their hard work.”
This record-breaking graduating class represents students from 7 North-West College campuses and 10 different programs, including, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Eyecare Specialist, Massage Therapist, Pharmacy Technician, Surgical Technologist, Vocational Nurse and others. Each student participated in both classroom instruction and hands-on learning opportunities—cementing their newfound knowledge and equipping them to hit the ground running in the World of Work.
Students and attendees will have the honor of hearing from keynote speaker Matthew Stewart, Co-founder and CEO of National Service Group (NSG), which operates College Works Painting and Empire Community Construction. Stewart serves on the board of directors for multiple organizations and has been recognized for his leadership and organizational expertise. He is passionate about mentoring Millennials and Generation Z and is looking forward to encouraging the graduates at Sunday’s ceremony.
“We are excited to gather for Commencement—to mark this significant moment for our students and all of those who have cheered them on every step of the way,” Fuerst explained. “There is nothing better than watching our graduates walk across the stage, knowing that each cap and gown represents a life changed by the quality career training we provide here at North-West College.”
Friends and family members unable to attend Commencement will be able to watch the full ceremony live on November 3 on the North-West College Facebook page at facebook.com/northwestcollege/.
