Success Education Colleges’ Leadership Gathered for 11th Annual President’s Retreat

Two-Day Event Underscored SEC’s Commitment to Sparing No Effort for Student Success

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.—From May 30–31, Success Education Colleges’ (SEC) Leaders, Board Members, and Invited Guests came together for a time of collaboration and learning at the organization’s annual President’s Retreat. Started in 2012, these gatherings have been crucial to SEC’s success as an organization—providing intentional time to reflect on its journey thus far and capture the vision for the future of this family of allied health colleges.

“A highly anticipated event—SEC’s President’s Retreats have quickly become the standard for professional development in our sector,” explained SEC President Mitchell Fuerst. “It’s a time of thought-provoking presentations mixed with great energy from SEC’s leadership that never fails to yield exceptional insight.”

Attendees had the opportunity to learn from a remarkable line-up of guest speakers, as the retreat continues to draw esteemed professionals from a variety of industries around the country. This year’s speakers included six-time award winning speaker Meredith Breitstein. Known for her wildly popular TEDx talk, Meredith encouraged the group to walk into their fear and SHINE by finding their courage. Dr. Sara Safari also addressed the group, sharing about her remarkable achievements as the first Iranian in history to climb the Seven Summits. She brought fresh perspective on how to tackle the obstacles we all face in not just in our workplaces, but everyday life.

“At the heart of these retreats is our students,” Fuerst shared. “They are the WHY behind everything we do and the reason we continue to look for ways to raise the standard of excellence here at SEC.”
